Geekvape Zeus tank, the spec sheet read line by line

A tank spec sheet runs to about ten lines, often written in hurried English, and every one of them shapes a practical choice. The Geekvape Zeus sheet is no exception. A capacity given as three figures, an airflow described in two phrases, a coil billed as quick slide, none of it makes sense without a translation. This breakdown takes the sheet Geekvape publishes on its official store, one parameter at a time, and explains what each line lets you check on a real tank.

Geekvape Zeus, what the official sheet contains

On the maker’s store, the Geekvape Zeus sheet is headed “Z (Zeus) Sub-ohm tank”. It describes a sub ohm tank with prebuilt mesh coils, designed for direct lung vaping. Six parameters make up the sheet, followed by a list of features and the box contents.

Published parameterValueWhat it affects
Dimensions26 x 42.5 mm, drip tip excludedThe mod’s top plate
Capacity5 ml, 3.5 ml, 2 ml (TPD)The version sold in the UK

Pre-installed coilMesh Z2, 0.2 ohm, 70 to 80 WThe mod’s power
Spare coilMesh Z1, 0.4 ohm, 60 to 70 WThe starting setting

Three details are missing. Geekvape gives no weight, no thread type and no body material. Only the product description mentions KA1, short for kanthal A1, without saying which part it applies to.

Dimensions, a line to check against the mod

The dimensions line holds two values. The 42.5 mm height is measured without the drip tip, which sits on top. The 26 mm diameter is the figure that matters, because it has to be compared with the widest tank the mod is designed to carry.

On the Aegis Legend 5, whose spec sheet takes atomisers up to 26 mm, the Geekvape Zeus sits exactly at the limit and lines up with the edge of the plate. On a mod rated for 25 mm or less, the base of the tank overhangs the chassis. It still screws on, but it no longer rests on the full surface the plate was designed for.

Three capacities, one version for the UK

The capacity line is the hardest to read on the sheet. It lists “5mL/3.5mL/2ml(TPD)” followed by the words replacement glass, without saying which figure is which. The box contents make it possible to sort them out.

What each figure covers

The tank ships with a 5 ml capacity, or 2 ml in the TPD version. The spare glass in the box holds 3.5 ml, or 2 ml as well in the TPD version. The first two figures therefore describe the standard version, and the third the compliant one, whose spare glass keeps the same capacity as the fitted tank.

UK rules and how to read a listing

UK rules cap refillable tanks at 2 ml, so the TPD version of the Geekvape Zeus is the one meant for this market. On a listing, a 5 ml capacity or a 3.5 ml glass points to the standard version. A TPD label, or 2 ml for both the tank and the glass, points to the compliant one. The same pattern applies to the Z Nano 3 supplied with the Aegis Mini 5, listed at 5 ml in standard form and 2 ml in TPD form.

Geekvape Zeus airflow and filling, two phrases to translate

The feature list uses marketing phrases that nonetheless describe a precise layout. Two of them shape how the tank is used.

The first mentions a “Direct Top Airflow” combined with a “Top-to-Bottom Airflow”. Air enters at the top of the tank, travels down to the coil, then rises with the vapour towards the drip tip. The air inlets are not at the base, and Geekvape presents this layout as leak-proof, since e-liquid has no air inlet to escape through at the bottom.

The second covers filling, from the top, with a fill port the maker says was redesigned to limit spills. The tank is therefore refilled without unscrewing it from the mod, so the coil is left alone at every refill.

Mesh Z coils, what quick slide means

The coil section boils down to three phrases. The “quick-change prebuilt coil system” refers to ready-made coils swapped as a whole, with no building involved. “GV mesh coil” refers to their mesh heating element. “Quick slide” refers to a coil change the maker presents as faster, with a removal tool supplied in the box.

The published ranges are read coil by coil. The 0.2 ohm Mesh Z2 runs between 70 and 80 W, the 0.4 ohm Mesh Z1 between 60 and 70 W. A mod that tops out below 80 W therefore cannot cover the full range of the pre-installed coil.

On the page for its Z XM Boost coils, Geekvape states that both generations share the same interface and that any device compatible with the Z coil accepts the Z XM. That page publishes its own ranges, including 50 to 60 W for the Z0.4 XM. After a coil change, the range printed for the new coil is the one to follow, not the one on the tank’s sheet. Those wattages also call for a cell whose continuous discharge rating is up to the job, a figure explained in our guide to INR18650 naming and CDR.

Zeus or Z Subohm Tank 5, two sheets not to mix up

Geekvape replaced the Zeus name with the letter Z, and states that old and new packaging of the first model are shipped at random. It also launched a Z Subohm Tank 5, which carries the same letter but not the same sheet.

The Tank 5’s extra 3 mm of width is enough to take it off the plate of a mod limited to 26 mm. A listing that mixes the two sheets, for instance a 26 mm diameter with a 5.5 ml capacity, is worth checking before you buy.

FAQ

Five detailed questions the maker’s sheet leaves open.

Is the Geekvape Zeus suitable for mouth-to-lung vaping?

No. The coils supplied and the Z XM range are designed for direct lung vaping, from 50 W upwards. The maker publishes no MTL coil for this tank.

Does a new coil need priming?

Yes. Geekvape advises waiting 3 to 5 minutes after filling under normal conditions, or dripping a few drops of e-liquid onto the cotton before fitting the coil. A coil fired before the cotton is soaked can burn.

How long does a Z XM coil last?

The maker quotes a typical 50 to 60 ml of e-liquid per Z XM coil, adding that real life depends on use and on the e-liquid.

Which colours does the Zeus sheet offer?

The official store lists seven finishes, rainbow, blue, silver, black, gold, gunmetal and red.

What else comes in the box?

A coil tool, a spare parts pack, the spare Mesh Z1 coil, the spare glass, the user manual and a warranty card.

Geekvape Zeus, a short sheet worth reading in full

The official Geekvape Zeus sheet comes down to six parameters, yet each one points to a choice. The 26 mm diameter decides the mod, the capacity line separates the standard version from the 2 ml TPD version, and the Mesh Z ranges tell you how much power to plan for.

What the sheet leaves out matters just as much, with no weight, no thread and no body material. In a market where listings copy each other, reading the Geekvape Zeus sheet line by line remains the surest way to know what you are buying, as with any vaping hardware.
